2.4. Natural Language Input

With Calendars 5 you can create events by simply typing a descriptive title in plain English. The app will recognize the input and schedule an event for you. The feature is currently available for English, German, French, Italian, Spanish and Russian.    

Here are some examples of the titles Calendars 5 will understand:

  • Meeting 7 am
  • Meeting at 7 pm
  • Meeting at 23:45
  • Meeting at four
  • Meeting at 9 am pdt
  • Meeting today with Robert
  • Go GYM at nine till eleven
  • Go GYM at nine for 5 hours
  • Meeting at nine during 5 hours
  • Lunch at noon for 30 minutes
  • Short conversation in one hour
  • Event in 5 days

  • meeting with tom 1400-1600
  • Movie 2/12
  • Lunch at half past ten

  • Assign an event to a calendar by typing #NameOfTheCalendar in the event title

To turn Natural Language Input off, follow these steps:    

  1. Launch the Calendars application,  
  2. Go to Setting within the app,
  3. Select Edit Options,   
  4. Switch off the Natural Language Input toggle.

Note: To go to Calendars Settings on iPhone, tap on the three horizontal lines button
